Searching `desmos sat` or `digital sat calculator` usually means you heard every Math item now allows a calculator and you want to know whether to live inside the graph. The honest answer is smaller than a Desmos tutorial farm. Prepful will tell you when the graph is worth the time, when linear setup still leaks, and which page to open next. We do not embed official Desmos, and we do not promise that graphing raises N points.
If you still need the sitting shape — two Math modules, adaptive, no separate no-calculator section — start with Digital SAT format. This page is only the tool split.
What "calculator on all Math" actually changed
The Digital SAT does not split Math into calculator and no-calculator halves. You may use a calculator throughout. In Bluebook that includes a graphing tool students call Desmos. Arithmetic is cheaper. Setup is not.
The graph is not the exam
Official Desmos lives in College Board's app, next to the sitting and official practice. Prepful is weekday drills and a 16-question diagnostic. Inside the product you may see on-screen tools. "Style" is the honest word. They are not a Bluebook administration. The app split is Bluebook SAT app.
The formula card is a third object
Bluebook can also show a geometry reference. That card is not Desmos and not an algebra dump. The category split is SAT math formula sheet. Opening both toys on a linear word problem is how Module 1 gets expensive.
When Desmos is worth opening
Use the graph after you can point to the equation or the table and say what each symbol is.

That table is a habit list, not a College Board feature matrix. If a YouTube "Desmos for every item" video disagrees with your timing, trust the clock on a mixed set.
Linear items still leak without the graph
Many 500–650 Math scores are distributing a negative, solving for the wrong unknown, or treating a system as one equation. SAT algebra practice is the public page for that family. The longer sequence is how to improve SAT math. Desmos will not catch "the story asked for total cost, not x."
Advanced items can still be setup
A quadratic you typed backwards will happily show the wrong vertex. A percent-change story that used the sale price as the original will compute 96 and still be the right arithmetic on the wrong tale. The sample on SAT math is that jacket: 20% off then 20% up is 4% lower, not a wash. A calculator does the 80 × 1.2. It does not choose the story.
When you should close the graph
Module 1 is still the cheap module. A sloppy first module caps the second. That is format, not a Desmos opinion.
Thirty-second items
If you can isolate in your head or on scratch paper faster than you can open the tool, type, and read a trace, do not open it. The adaptive cutoff does not care that the graph was elegant.
Items that are really reading
"Which quantity" misses look like Math and are RW. The graph cannot tell you the stem asked for the leftover, not the total. Tag those as stem errors. Redo the same family within 48 hours. The review habit is how to review SAT mistakes.
Official practice vs Tuesday night
Learn the Bluebook graph on a practice sitting so test day is not the first time the layout moves. Do not burn an official full-length as a Desmos tutorial. Weekday work still belongs on named skills. Khan still teaches some of those skills; full-length tests do not live there anymore — Khan Academy SAT practice.
How to practice this week
- Open Bluebook once and click the graphing tool on an official practice item. Learn where it lives. Do not download a random "SAT Desmos" zip.
- Do a short linear set without the graph. Then redo two items with the graph only if the equation was already right.
- Put a clock on a mixed Math set. If the graph ate easy Module-1-shaped items, close it earlier next time.
