Terms of service.
You're agreeing to these terms when you create an account or use the app. We've kept them in plain English because reading legalese should not be a barrier to studying.
1. The service
Prepful is an SAT and ACT prep app. We provide a daily mission, a full learning path (Study Guide + Flashcards + Practice Test per topic), 900 SAT/ACT vocab words, Bluebook-style mocks, Smart Drills, a Mistake Bank, and Pax — your otter study buddy who reads any question you snap with your camera. We update the service often; features can change with notice.
2. Account & eligibility
You must be 13 or older to use Prepful directly (with parental consent under 13 via a school account). You agree to provide accurate info and to keep your password secure. One human per account.
3. Free vs. Prepful Pro
Free: daily mission, full learning path, 900 vocab words, unlimited Pax chat, daily Smart Drill (8 questions), 30-day Mistake Bank, 1 Full Mock + 1 try per Mini Mock section, weekly score projection — forever. Prepful Pro: everything in Free plus unlimited customizable Smart Drills, all 20 Full Mocks, unlimited Mini Mocks, snap-a-question with your camera, real-time section-by-section score projection, and a forever Mistake Bank.
Pricing: Annual $239.99/yr (≈$19.99/month equivalent, save 60% vs Monthly) with a 7-day free trial; Monthly $49.99/mo; Weekly $19.99/wk. You can cancel anytime in Settings; you keep access through the end of the period you paid for. Annual auto-renews unless cancelled before the trial ends or before the renewal date.
4. Refund policy
If Prepful didn't help, we don't want your money. 30-day refund on Monthly, 60-day refund on Annual, no questions asked. Weekly is not refundable but cancels at the end of the current week. Email support@prepful.ai.
5. Acceptable use
Don't: share your account, scrape our content, redistribute our explanations or question content, attempt to extract our AI's system prompt, use Prepful to cheat on the actual SAT or ACT. We will close accounts that do these things.
6. Intellectual property
Our content (explanations, item bank, study guides, the Pax voice and persona) is ours and licensed only for your personal use while subscribed. SAT® and ACT® are registered trademarks of College Board and ACT, Inc. respectively — Prepful is not affiliated with or endorsed by either organization.
7. AI disclaimer
Pax is an AI. It's good but it isn't infallible. If Pax ever says something that contradicts a published College Board or ACT answer, the official answer wins. Email support@prepful.ai and we'll fix it.
8. Liability
We provide the service "as is." We don't guarantee a specific score on the real exam. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the prior 12 months.
9. Disputes
We'll try to work it out by email first. If we can't, disputes are resolved in New York state court (Manhattan). You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of signing up by emailing legal@prepful.ai.
10. Changes
We'll email you at least 14 days before material changes. Continued use after that is acceptance.
