SAT math formula sheet — what Bluebook gives, what you still memorize

The Digital SAT reference sheet covers geometry. Algebra still has to live in your head. Prepful will not dump a fake official PDF.

Searching `sat math formula sheet` usually means you want a printable card you can stare at until test day. The honest Digital SAT answer is smaller than the PDFs that rank for that query. Prepful will tell you what Bluebook actually shows, what still has to live in your head, and which public page to open next. We will not reconstruct College Board's card line by line, and we will not publish a downloadable dump.

If you still need the shape of the section — four domains, calculator on every item — start with how to improve SAT math. This page is only the reference split.

What the in-app sheet is for

On the Digital SAT, Math items can show a reference. That card is a geometry and trigonometry reminder: areas, volumes, and a few right-triangle relationships. It exists so you do not spend a minute deriving the volume of a cylinder you already set up correctly.

It is not a complete SAT math formula sheet

The search phrase oversells the object. Students still miss linear systems with the card open. They still miss percent change with a calculator in the corner. The sheet does not list slope-intercept form, exponent laws, or how to isolate the quantity the story asked for.

Treat the card as a safety net for shapes. Treat algebra as work you already practiced. SAT math is the section hub for those four domains. It is not a timed Bluebook Math module.

Do not freeze a blog table as official

College Board can adjust what appears in Bluebook. A third-party "2026 formula PDF" is a snapshot someone typed once. If the in-app reference and a printed sheet disagree, trust the app on the device you will sit. Prepful will not host a competing PDF.

What you still have to know without a card

The expensive misses on Digital SAT Math are usually setup, not a forgotten area formula.

Usually on the referenceUsually not — you still need it
Area and volume of common solidsSlope, intercepts, and writing a line from two points
Special right-triangle relationshipsSystems of two linear equations
A few circle and triangle remindersExponent and radical rules
Enough to finish a geometry item you already modeledPercent change, ratios, and which quantity the stem wants

That table is a category split, not a transcription of College Board's card. If a coach's PDF adds twenty extra identities, ask whether those identities showed up on a real miss last week.

Algebra first unless the diagnostic said otherwise

Algebra is about 35% of Digital SAT Math — the same weight as Advanced Math on Prepful's domain shares. If linear setup is leaking, a prettier geometry sheet will not hide it. Public skill pages for Advanced Math, data, and geometry are not live yet. Algebra is. Start there unless a 16-question diagnostic already named a different domain.

Geometry items still need a story

When the card does help, it helps after you drew the figure and named the unknown. "I had the formula and still picked the diameter" is a reading miss, not a sheet miss. Redo the same shape family within 48 hours. The review habit is how to review SAT mistakes.

Calculator, Desmos, and the sheet are three different tools

Digital SAT Math allows a calculator on every item. Bluebook also includes a graphing tool. Neither one is a formula sheet.

When the graph is worth the time

Use the graph after the equation is the one you meant. Intersections, vertices, and "which line matches this table" are fair uses. The longer split is Desmos on the Digital SAT.

When you should not open either toy

If the stem is "what is the value of k" and you have not written a constraint, the graph will faithfully plot the wrong story. Close it. Write the line. Then compute.

A sloppy Module 1 still caps Module 2. Burning thirty seconds hunting a formula that was never going to be on the card is how easy algebra items become timing tags.

How to practice this week

  1. Open Bluebook once and look at the actual reference on a practice item. Do not screenshot a random site.
  2. Write three algebra identities you missed recently — not twenty you already know.
  3. Do a short linear set on SAT algebra practice. Untimed first if the method is rusty, then a clock.
  4. If you have no current Math number, take the free diagnostic before you print anything.

Do not build a second study-plan URL around formulas. The calendar belongs on the SAT study plan tool. The format of the sitting still lives in Digital SAT format and, for official full-length Math, in the Bluebook SAT app.

A formula sheet is a small object. Most of the Math score is still the setup you did not write down. Memorize the algebra that is not on the card. Use the card for shapes. Leave the PDF farms alone.

Short answers.

What is on the SAT math formula sheet?

The Digital SAT reference in Bluebook is mostly geometry and trigonometry: area, volume, and a few triangle relationships. It is not a complete algebra dump. College Board can change the card; trust the app on test day.

Is there a SAT math formula sheet for algebra?

No useful one. Slope, systems, exponent rules, and percent change are treated as things you already know. That is why SAT algebra practice matters more than a printed cheat sheet.

Can I use Desmos instead of memorizing formulas?

Desmos is available on every Digital SAT Math item. It helps you graph or compute after the setup is right. A wrong linear story still misses. Read the Desmos explainer for when the graph is worth the time.

Should I download a SAT formula PDF?

No. Prepful will not host a formula PDF farm. Use the reference inside Bluebook, then practice the algebra that is not on the card.

Where should I practice after reading the sheet?

If linear equations leak, open SAT algebra practice. The longer sequence is how to improve SAT math. A 16-question diagnostic names the domain first.
