Percentiles reuse the Prepful Digital SAT score chart (College Board concordance, approximate ± 1 percentile). This is not an official College Board calculator.
How SAT scoring works on the Digital SAT.
Each section is scored 200–800. Your total is the sum: 400–1600. There is no separate essay score on the current Digital SAT. This calculator does not convert raw question counts. After a sitting, use the SAT score predictor with four module right/wrong counts. Use this page after you already have section scores from a practice test or official report.
- Reading and Writing 200–800 — one combined section score
- Math 200–800 — calculator allowed throughout
- Total 400–1600 — compared here to national percentiles, not a single college's cutoff
Calculator vs score chart vs diagnostic.
Use the calculator when you have two section scores and need a total. Use the SAT percentile chart when you already have a total and want percentile and tier. If you do not have scores yet, take the free diagnostic instead of guessing. For the verbal question behind the number, read what is a good SAT score and SAT score ranges explained.
Prepful does not promise a fixed point gain. The CTA sends you to onboarding so you can build a plan around the gap this tool just showed.
Calculator questions
Straight answers before you add scores.
How does this SAT score calculator work?
Enter your Digital SAT Reading and Writing score and Math score (each 200–800). The tool adds them to a 400–1600 total, then maps that total to a national percentile and admissions tier using the same chart as Prepful's DSAT score chart.
What is a good SAT score?
It depends on where you are applying. A 1300 is strong for many state schools and uncompetitive at the most selective colleges. Use the gap to your target to decide what to practice — not a generic 'good score' label.
How is this different from the SAT score predictor?
This calculator adds 200–800 section scores. The SAT score predictor estimates a range from four module right/wrong counts after you leave the test. Do not use this page for 22/27-style reports.
How is this different from the DSAT score chart?
This calculator answers 'what is my total if I add RW and Math?' The score chart answers 'what percentile is this total?' Use both. They share the same percentile table and keep separate canonical URLs.
Are SAT section scores always multiples of 10?
Yes. Official Digital SAT section scores are reported in 10-point increments from 200 to 800. Totals are therefore multiples of 10 between 400 and 1600.
Is this an official College Board calculator?
No. Prepful is not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board. Percentiles are approximate and should not be treated as an official SAT score report.
